The second meeting of the project monitoring committee led by the consortium TotalEnergies, CIP, and A.P. M\u00f8ller Capital was held in Guelmim. The \u00ab H2 Chbika \u00bb project marks a first step in implementing Morocco’s Green Hydrogen Offer.<\/h2>\n

Following the signing on October 28, under the presidency of King Mohammed VI and French President Emmanuel Macron, of the first contract for the development of green hydrogen in Morocco<\/a><\/strong>, Karim Zidane, Minister Delegate in charge of Investment, Convergence, and Policy Evaluation, chaired the second meeting of the project monitoring committee in Guelmim, as reported.<\/p>\n

The meeting was attended by the Wali of the region, Mohamed Najem Abhay, and the President of the Regional Council, Mbarka Bouaida. Eric Festa, Executive Vice President of the TotalEnergies H2 (TE H2) subsidiary, was supported by investment banker Abdeslam Ababou from Red Med Capital<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

The “H2 Chbika<\/strong>” project marks a first step in implementing Morocco’s Green Hydrogen Offer<\/strong><\/a>, aiming to position the Kingdom as a global leader in renewable energy and sustainable development.<\/p>\n

Planned since January 2022<\/a><\/strong>, the TotalEnergies H2 green hydrogen mega-project in Tilemzoune<\/strong><\/a> was finally set into motion in Morocco. After signing the preliminary land reservation contract with Rabat, the French energy giant was preparing to launch pre-project studies, albeit with a program currently more modest than initially planned (1 GW instead of the originally envisioned 10 GW), as analyzed by Le Desk<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
